Solo art librarian at the Phoenix Art Museum. I'm planning a Library Celebration & Symposium on April 11, 2018. We are honoring past PAM art librarian & Latin American curator, Clayton Kirking, MLS. Other guest speaker and panelists include Edward Sullivan, Deputy Director of IFA, NYU, Vanessa Davidson, Curator of Latin American Art at PAM and Beverly Karno, of Karno Books. The subject of the symposium is the collaboration of art museum curators, librarians, scholars, authors, art booksellers and donors to create exhibitions, advance art scholarship & create ways of sharing information on art. This inaugural symposium focuses on the Latin American Art collection & exhibitions at
PAM and the collection of the Lemon Art Research Library. I'd love to talk with other museum art librarians who have sponsored symposiums or other events recognizing the role and impact of art librarians, I hope you'll join us on April 11th in Phoenix when we celebrate the our Library's history, treasures and scholarship.
